Six Companies in Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Have Their Licenses Suspended, Required to Restore Forest Ecosystems
JAKARTA, GARISBUMI.com – Six companies in Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) have had their permits frozen along with the obligation to restore forest ecosystems in handling forest and land fires (karhutla). These sanctions increase the number of companies subject to administrative action to 32 companies with a total concession coverage of 1,931,115 hectares.
Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni announced this step in a press statement ahead of the Plenary Cabinet Session at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (21/10/2026).
"Today, we are announcing another freeze and forced restoration of forest ecosystems for six companies," said Raja Juli Antoni.
Based on information from the Ministry of Forestry, the six companies are spread across three districts. PT Produk Kalimantan Jaya and PT Taiyoung Enggreen are in Gunung Mas Regency, while PT Hutan Produk Lestari is in Kapuas Regency.
Three other companies, namely PT Ramang Agro Lestari, PT Puspa Warna Cemerlang, and PT Sinergi Hutan Sejati, are in North Barito Regency.
The figure of 1,931,115 hectares is the total concession coverage of 32 companies subject to administrative action, not the area burned.
