“The area is approximately 25 hectares to 30 hectares,” he said.
Apart from land, the local government is preparing water sources to support the operation of PSEL facilities. The nearest water source under consideration is the Cijeruk River, about three kilometers from the project site.
“For our water supply, the nearest one is in Cijeruk, approximately three kilometers away,” Budi said.
If development goes according to plan, PSEL Cilowong will not only be aimed at reducing landfills in Serang Raya. The project is also expected to produce electrical energy and provide added value from waste which has been a burden on the environment.
However, a number of important information regarding the project has not been submitted, including the investment value, processing technology to be used, electricity capacity produced, operational financing scheme, and environmental impact control system. (ed)
