The preparation of the scenarios received scientific support from the Center for Environmental Studies at Andalas University and academics. The forum also involves regional officials who handle development planning, disasters, forestry, water resources, spatial planning, agriculture, plantations, marine and fisheries, as well as energy and mineral resources.

The vertical agencies involved include the Central Statistics Agency, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, as well as the Sumatra V River Region Office.
