UAD Students Initiate MAMBO to Prevent Food Waste, Win FOMUNY 2026
"Our target is not only to collect achievements, but also to develop the ideas we create so that they are more mature and applicable. We want to produce innovations that do not stop as competition work, but have the potential to have a real impact on society and the environment," said Haisyam.
Twice Won First Place
This year's achievement was the team's second victory in the FOMUNY event. In 2025, they won first place in the Poster Output Essay category.
"Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful and happy because we managed to win first place for the second time. This year's achievement feels very special because we managed to defend the title at the national level," said Haisyam.
To face this year's competition, the team prepared for about two weeks. They compose essays, prepare presentation materials, design posters, and repeatedly practice so that each member's delivery is in harmony.
The team also published posters via social media to increase interaction in the form of likes and comments on the works in the competition.
Preparations are taking place amidst a number of adjacent agendas. These conditions make dividing tasks and managing time a challenge in itself.
"We really had to divide our time between completing material, practicing presentations, perfecting poster designs, and preparing for departure. From there we learned that in competitions it is not only the quality of ideas that is important, but also how the team is able to manage time, divide tasks, and maintain communication," said Haisyam.
