GARISBUMI.com โ€“ SINJAI, GARISBUMI.COM | The Sinjai Regency Government requests that the results of environmental health risk studies be used to determine priority areas, programs and budget needs for sanitation improvements. Data on domestic wastewater management, household waste and water source conditions need to be combined with health data at the village and sub-district level.

This direction was conveyed by the Regional Secretary of Sinjai Regency, Andi Jefrianto Asapa, in a public consultation on the Environmental Health Risk Assessment (EHRA) document or environmental health risk assessment at the Sinjai Regent's Office, Thursday (29/10/2026).

"This EHRA document must be the basis for us in determining priority areas, responsible regional apparatus, as well as programs and budgets that need to be planned," said Andi, as quoted from the Sinjai Regency Government Public Relations.

This direction places the results of the study as the basis for making development decisions. Follow-up actions include determining locations that require treatment, dividing responsibilities between regional officials, as well as program and budget planning.

However, the Sinjai District Government's statement does not yet contain detailed results of the 2026 EHRA study, including areas with the highest sanitation risk, the number of households studied, or the budget requirements for handling them.

Head of the Sinjai District Health Service, Kahar Anies, explained that the EHRA study was used to identify sanitation conditions and environmental health risk factors at the household and community level.
