Heru emphasized that environmental preservation requires the involvement of government, society, academics, the business world and the media.

Directing Ecosystem Conservation and Restoration
The 2026 Biodiversity Profile and 2026–2030 Biodiversity RIP were prepared by DLH East Java together with the Anwar Muhammad Foundation (AMF), with the support of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) through the Global Biodiversity Framework Implementation (GBFI) program.
Representative of the Directorate of Biodiversity Conservation of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLH)/Environmental Control Agency, Laila Yunita Widiastuti, encouraged other provincial and district/city governments to prepare similar documents.
According to him, the profile and master plan can be the basis for conservation planning and ecosystem restoration.
In East Java, these two documents are expected to strengthen cross-sector coordination and direct conservation programs in a more measurable manner, so that the protection of biological wealth becomes part of regional development implementation.
