Three Months on the Run, Suspected Illegal Logging Investor in Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Arrested

The case started with the discovery of 70 logs
This case stems from an operation to monitor the distribution of forest products which was carried out on June 6 2026. The operation involved the Kalimantan Regional Gakkumhut Hall, the Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Provincial Forestry Service, the Forest Management Unit, and the Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Regional Police Criminal and Criminal Investigation Department.
The joint team found around 70 logs arranged into a raft. Not far from this location, officers found a wood processing place equipped with a circular saw machine.
Three workers who were at the location were detained for questioning as witnesses. Officers also confiscated a number of pieces of evidence related to wood processing activities for investigative purposes.
From examining witnesses and evidence, investigators obtained information regarding LF's involvement. He is suspected of playing a role as a financier and as a party who employs workers to process logs into processed wood in forest areas.
Investigators then coordinated with the Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) High Prosecutor's Office and the Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Regional Police's Ditreskrimsus to search for and present LF in the investigation process.
