SYNKRON Developed to Verify Reports and Prepare for Forest and Land Fires
Development is carried out in stages
Trial participants came from a number of agencies in South Sulawesi, including the environmental and forestry sectors, energy and mineral resources, as well as agriculture and plantations. Activities also involve conservation units, law enforcement, forest management, fire control and social forestry.
This cross-agency involvement is part of efforts to align user needs with reporting and data inspection mechanisms.
Thomas emphasized that the development of SINKRON must be carried out in stages based on the results of trials and evaluations, taking into account the regulations and authority of each work unit.
The Ministry of Forestry's statement has not detailed the results of the trials or the schedule for implementing further development. The next stage is to perfect the system based on evaluation so that permit holder reports can become verified and useful information for controlling forest and land fires.
