Stella explained that this step was in line with the problem mapping approach developed by the Ministry of Education and Science and Technology. Real government and industry problems are the basis for determining research needs, research priorities, and opportunities for collaboration with campuses.

"So today what we want to do is perhaps stage one, namely problem mapping and demand mapping, so that there is demand for green energy," he said.

It is hoped that the mapping results will become input for developing student competencies and research collaboration through existing funding and cooperation schemes.

Introduce Green Jobs through Practical Experience

METI Energi Muda also emphasized the need for a more concrete introduction to green jobs, especially for students who are approaching graduation.

Through the Youth Renewable Energy Campaign – Renewable Energy Campus Tour, METI has held activities in a number of areas, including Bandung, Padang, North Sulawesi, Surabaya and Jakarta.

"This green job is one of the PR projects that must be realized immediately, especially in Indonesia," said Chairman of METI Energi Muda Alif Zulviqar.

Activities on campus are directed at providing practical experience, including prototyping and activities connected to community service. Through these activities, students are expected to be able to apply knowledge while building a portfolio that is relevant to the needs of the renewable energy industry.
