GARISBUMI.com – PURWOREJO, GARISBUMI.com | Efforts to sort and manage waste from home are supported by facilities in Purworejo Regency, Central Java. The district government distributed equipment grants to 12 waste banks to support waste management at the community level, Tuesday (3/11/2026).

According to information from the Purworejo Regency Government, assistance through the Environment and Fisheries Service (DLHP) includes 11 three-wheeled vehicles, one digital bench scale, two waste sorting bins and two wheelbarrows.

This support is directed at strengthening waste management from the source, by involving waste bank administrators, cadres and families who produce waste every day.

"We realize that the waste problem is a shared responsibility. Therefore, awareness of sorting and managing waste must start from the family environment," said Purworejo Regent Yuli Hastuti in a statement from the Purworejo Regency Government.

Tool support and citizen involvement

The grant was handed over symbolically by Yuli at the Purworejo Regency DLHP Biowaste and Waste Management Office. The handover was also attended by Assistant for Economy and Development Budi Wibowo and Head of DLHP Eko Setyo Husodo.
