Handover of waste management facilities from BRI Finance through the KSBB Environmental program for RW 06 Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta

GARISBUMI.com – JAKARTA, GARISBUMI.COM | Waste sorting from homes in RW 06 Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, is supported by transportation equipment, composting and community training. This step through the Large-Scale Social Collaboration Program (KSBB) for the Environment is aimed at ensuring that waste that can still be used can be processed in residential areas and reduce shipments to the Bantargebang TPST.

This DKI Jakarta Provincial Government program connects residents' waste management needs with support from the business world. In Srengseng Sawah, the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service bridged the collaboration with PT BRI Multifinance Indonesia or BRI Finance.

Deputy Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service, Purwanti Suryandari, said that the provision of facilities needs to be accompanied by education and consistent sorting habits so that waste can be handled according to its type.

"Everyone is responsible for the waste produced, by sorting the waste from home. Waste that can still be processed needs to be separated so that it can be reused, so that not everything ends up at the Bantargebang TPST," said Purwanti, Thursday (29/10/2026), as quoted from a statement from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

Transport and composting support

At RW 06 Srengseng Sawah, BRI Finance handed over two electric motorbike carts, seven composter barrels with a capacity of 200 liters each, and a compost sifting machine with a capacity said to reach 100-150 kilograms per hour.

The equipment is equipped with 145 buckets with a capacity of 8 liters, 10 buckets with a capacity of 20 liters, 11 barrels with a capacity of 60 liters, and five trash cans with a capacity of 120 liters.
