According to Jumhur, the success of the global climate agenda depends on implementing commitments on the ground.
"The challenge in the world today is no longer just increasing ambition, but ensuring that this ambition is actually realized through concrete implementation," he said.
The forum was also attended by Fiji Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Tuvalu Prime Minister Feleti Teo, and COP31 President Murat Kurum. Also present were UNFCCC Executive Secretary Simon Stiell and representatives of international funding institutions, including the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
