Residents of Bukit Pinang Samarinda Learn to Turn Household Waste into Organic Fertilizer
SAMARINDA, GARISBUMI.com – Bukit Pinang Village, Samarinda City, invites RT 09 residents to process household organic waste into fertilizer for plants in their homes and yards. This education is part of the 2026 Community Empowerment and Development Program (Probebaya).
In information published by Bukit Pinang Village, Thursday (8/10/2026), this socialization aims to increase residents' knowledge and skills in utilizing organic waste into useful products.
The material provided includes sorting organic waste, utilizing household waste, as well as simple stages of making fertilizer. Residents are expected to be able to apply this knowledge to manage waste independently.
Processing waste from home is also expected to reduce the amount of waste thrown into final disposal sites (TPA). Meanwhile, the fertilizer produced can be used to care for plants in the living environment.
Through this activity, Bukit Pinang Village encourages community involvement in maintaining cleanliness while making yards greener and more productive.
Citizen participation in Probebaya activities is also expected to strengthen mutual cooperation so that waste management can be carried out sustainably.
