Patrols in Gorontalo Bay are also accompanied by outreach to the community and business actors. The team explained the mechanism for administering the KKPRL, the obligations that must be fulfilled, as well as the sanctions for non-compliance.

Through this outreach, the public and business actors are expected to understand the requirements for marine space utilization before carrying out activities in conservation areas.

Aryanto emphasized that the protection of conservation areas is closely related to Gorontalo's agro-maritime development. Utilization of marine and fisheries potential needs to be balanced with ecosystem protection so that marine resources continue to support the economy of coastal communities.

This monitoring is part of the implementation of the Oceans for Prosperity (LAUTRA) program as well as supporting the Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Conservation Area Management (EVIKA).

This cross-agency collaboration is expected to strengthen the compliance of the community and business actors and increase the effectiveness of management of the Gorontalo Bay KKPD.
