Dozens of Ujong Blang Beach Tourist Lodges Demolished to Make Way for Road Construction
LHOKSEUMAWE, GARISBUMI.com – Dozens of tourist huts along the shores of Ujong Blang Beach, Lhokseumawe City, were demolished in preparation for the construction of a two-lane road, Saturday (10/10/2026). The hut is on land that has been acquired by the government.
The demolition was carried out by the Lhokseumawe City Civil Service and Wilayatul Hisbah Police Unit (Satpol PP and WH) as part of the road construction stages as well as structuring the coastal area.
According to information from Lhokseumawe City Satpol PP and WH, the city government, through the relevant agencies, wrote to traders who were active at the location three times before the demolition was carried out.
The letter contains a notification and an appeal for traders to immediately vacate the tourist cottage in preparation for demolition.
The construction of the two-lane road is part of the regional government's plan to organize the Ujong Blang Beach area. The demolition of the hut was carried out so that the land that had been acquired could be used according to the development plan.
In its implementation, Satpol PP and WH coordinate with related agencies. Community cooperation is also an important part of supporting the regional planning process.
The government hopes that the road construction can proceed according to plan and make the coastal area of Ujong Blang Beach more orderly and comfortable for the community.
