Maintaining Fisheries and Coastal Tourism

Director General of Marine Management KKP Ahmad Koswara said, Pandansimo Beach has the potential for fisheries, tourism and community economic development. Coastal cleanliness is an important part of maintaining these benefits in the long term.

He also reminded us not to throw non-organic waste into rivers because it can pollute the waters and disturb marine biota.

"Through declarations, beach clean-up actions, sea cypress planting, and socialization of waste management, this activity is expected to strengthen awareness that protecting the sea is not solely the government's responsibility, but a collective obligation," he said.

According to information from the Bantul Regency Government, the KKP is planning similar activities in 27 coastal areas in Indonesia. Implementation requires the involvement of the government, coastal communities, business actors and beach visitors.

For Pandansimo, this movement is directed at protecting the coastal environment while supporting the economic activities of residents who depend on fishing and tourism.
