Want to go on holiday to a National Park? Tickets can now be ordered via the AKTN application
This step is important because tourism activities in conservation areas must consider the carrying capacity and capacity of the environment. An increase in the number of tourists must not disturb animal habitats, damage vegetation, or produce uncontrolled piles of rubbish.
The AKTN application also records ticket transactions as part of Non-Tax State Revenue. According to the Ministry of Forestry, the digital system is expected to make revenue recording more transparent and accountable.
Targeted to reach more areas
The Ministry of Forestry previously targeted the expansion of the AKTN system to all conservation areas that provide tourism services by the end of 2026. However, this target is still on the development agenda and cannot be said to have been achieved.
The next development plan includes increasing system capacity, adding tour guide services, changing visit schedules, refunding funds, and strengthening cyber security.
The Ministry of Forestry also plans to provide applications for iPhone users via the App Store. As long as the iOS version of the application is not yet available, users can place orders via the official web-based portal.
For tourists, the ease of buying tickets still requires responsible behavior. Visitors are required to obey area regulations, bring back rubbish, avoid activities that disturb animals, and follow officers' directions while in the conservation area.
