GARISBUMI.com – BATANG, GARISBUMI.COM | Sidawung Camp in Tombo Village, Batang Regency, offers forest exploration activities accompanied by planting at least one tree seedling for each participant. The management developed this activity as a means of environmental education, complementing camping and canyoning options.

The manager of Sidawung Camp, Heru Dimyati, said the concept was a follow-up to the formation of nature conservation cadres. Through tourism activities, visitors are invited to get to know the environment of Tombo Village and get involved in planting trees.

"We want tourists not only to come to drink coffee or stay overnight, but also to get education about nature conservation," said Heru in Tombo Village, Thursday (29/10/2026), as quoted by the Batang Regency Government.

This destination is managed together with Sidawung Coffee, which has been operating since 2019. During its development, the management added camping areas and outdoor activities.

One hiking participant gets at least one seed

According to Heru, all hiking packages include breakfast, lunch, coffee break, insurance and one tree seedling for each participant. Planting is carried out together during the trip as part of nature service activities.

"Every visitor who takes a hiking package gets at least one tree seedling to adopt and plant together," he said.
