Seruyan Pushes for Accurate Waste Data to Improve Collect-Transport-Dispose of Patterns
GARISBUMI.com – KUALA PENGBUANG, GARISBUMI.com | The Seruyan Regency Government is pushing to improve waste data and increase company environmental compliance as part of changes to waste management. The collect-transport-dispose pattern is asked to shift towards sustainable management.
This direction was conveyed by Deputy Regent Seruyan Supian when opening training on reporting performance on community-based and regional scale waste management at G House Kuala Pembuang, Friday (30/10/2026).
Based on information from the Seruyan Regency Government published Monday (2/11/2026), the training was held by the Seruyan Regency Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK). Participants include representatives of regional officials, village and sub-district governments, as well as business actors.
Data validation involves villages and sub-districts
Supian asked participants to understand the procedures for reporting waste accurately. He also emphasized the division of responsibilities so that the reporting process receives support from the regional government down to the village and sub-district levels.
Regional officials together with village and sub-district governments are asked to play a role in data validation. Meanwhile, DLHK is tasked with providing assistance and monitoring reporting.
The emphasis on validation places data quality as one of the concerns in improving Seruyan waste management. However, the official statement does not yet contain the initial conditions for data collection, the coverage of areas that have been reported, or data problems that will be corrected through this training.
