Serang City Police Encourages Empty Land to Become Green Space by Planting Trees
SERANG, GARISBUMI.com – Utilizing empty land into green space is one of the tree planting objectives carried out by the Serang City Police, Friday (23/10/2026). It is hoped that activities in the Green Policing program will involve personnel and community involvement in caring for plants.
Serang City Police Chief Commissioner Pol Yudha Satria together with key officials carried out planting as part of efforts to green the environment.
"Through this Green Policing activity, we want to raise collective awareness of the importance of preserving the environment. Planting trees is not just a greening activity, but is also a form of investment for the future so that the environment remains maintained, cool and comfortable," said Yudha, as reported by Radar Banten.
According to Yudha, environmental preservation requires the involvement of various parties. He encouraged police personnel and the public to maintain cleanliness and care for plants in their residences and work environments.
Invitation to care for plants is an important part of the aim of this activity. The expected benefits of reforestation, in the form of a cooler, more beautiful and comfortable area, require continued maintenance after planting.
Serang City Police hopes that the use of empty land can provide productive green space while supporting a healthy environment.
However, the information provided does not yet detail the planting location, number and type of trees, land area, or maintenance arrangements. Therefore, the extent of reforestation and plant development after the activity cannot be known from this information.
