PB Sudirman Lumajang Prepared with Waste Sorting, Maintenance is Key
LUMAJANG, GARISBUMI.com – The revitalization of Jalan PB Sudirman in Lumajang Regency will be equipped with waste sorting bins, garden chairs, as well as flower pots and plants. The plan to provide these facilities places cleanliness and comfort of public spaces as an important part of regional planning.
The Lumajang Regency Environmental Service (DLH) also prepared 62 units of decorative lights to be installed on the right and left sides of the road. However, the long-term benefits of these facilities will depend on their management and maintenance.
Lumajang Regency DLH Secretary, Agus Rokhman Rozaq, explained that providing these facilities was part of DLH's work in supporting the revitalization of PB Sudirman.
"For our part, we will install 62 decorative lights on the right and left sides. Apart from that, we will provide garden chairs, waste sorting bins, as well as flower pots and plants," said Agus, as quoted from a statement from the Lumajang Regency Communication and Information Department.
Sort trash cans to support cleanliness
From an environmental perspective, waste sorting bins are a relevant facility for residents who use the area. This facility is planned to support the cleanliness of public spaces through waste sorting.
However, the available information does not specify the number of waste bins, sorting categories, or the mechanism for transporting and handling waste after it has been sorted. Therefore, the provision of these containers cannot yet be used as a measure of the success of waste management in the PB Sudirman area.
