More than 400 Jakarta students invited to mobilize waste management and school greening
Sarwoko wants Sispala members to play a role as environmental ambassadors in their respective schools. This role includes educating fellow students so that habits of maintaining cleanliness, processing waste and greening the environment can occur in a sustainable manner.
The call for greening also includes caring for trees at schools and homes. In this way, student involvement continues after the planting activity is complete.
Space for learning and sharing experiences between schools
Chairman of FASTA DKI Jakarta, Adjie Rimbawan, said that the workshop was attended by more than 400 students who are members of Sispala. He stated that FASTA would continue educational activities and environmental awareness actions for students.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the DKI Jakarta FASTA Steering Committee, Rudi Nurcahyo, emphasized the importance of cultivating a culture of environmental care from an early age. According to him, the younger generation needs to be equipped with awareness to protect and preserve the environment.
For participants, the meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences. Sispala member of SMA Negeri 54 Jakarta, Angelica Refalina Sitorus, said she gained insight into environmental conservation while also meeting students from other schools.
The exchange of experiences between schools is part of activities that bring together students with similar interests in environmental issues.
