Jelambar Village PPSU officers load sorted inorganic waste into a truck in the sub-district office yard, West Jakarta, Wednesday (7/10/2026)

WEST JAKARTA, GARISBUMI.com – A total of 774 kilograms of inorganic waste resulting from sorting by Jelambar Village Infrastructure and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers was distributed to the Bambu Larangan Main Waste Bank (BSI), Cengkareng. This waste consists of iron, cardboard, aluminum, cans and various other types of inorganic waste.

The weighing was carried out by 20 PPSU officers in the courtyard of the Jelambar Village Office, West Jakarta, Wednesday (7/10/2026). After being weighed, the waste was transported using a West Jakarta Environmental Service truck to BSI Bambu Larangan.

Jelambar Village Head Pradista Machdala Putra said that sorting allows waste that still has use and economic value to be collected for further management.

"The waste collected not only has use value, but also economic value. The waste bank is a means of educating the public to sort waste while keeping the environment clean," said Pradista in his statement.

According to him, it is hoped that community-based waste bank management can build the habit of sorting waste from the source. Citizen involvement is needed so that this practice also applies in the household environment.

"Apart from PPSU Jelambar officers, we hope that the community will also aggressively sort waste from households," he said.
