West Rasanae Spatial Planning is Prepared, Environmental Carrying Capacity is a Concern
GARISBUMI.com – BIMA, GARISBUMI.com | The balance between development needs and environmental carrying capacity is a concern in preparing the Detailed Spatial Planning Plan (RDTR) for the West Rasanae Planning Area, Bima City. The process includes an initial public consultation to gather input on regional planning documents.
The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) held the I RDTR Public Consultation as well as the first focus group discussion on the West Rasanae RDTR Strategic Environmental Study (KLHS) at the Marina Inn Hotel, Monday (2/11/2026).
Based on information from the Bima City Diskominfotik, the forum involved a number of related stakeholders. The Bima City Government was represented by the Mayor's Expert Staff for People's Welfare, Community and Human Resources, Suharni.
Meeting space and environmental needs
The preparation of the West Rasanae RDTR is expected to pay attention to space utilization, environmental sustainability, as well as the balance between development and environmental carrying capacity.
For the community, the direction of the discussion is important because it concerns how regional space will be used and how environmental considerations will be placed in the planning.
Public consultation is a forum for gathering input, suggestions and views to improve the substance of the RDTR and KLHS. Both documents are still in the process of being drafted.
