Twice a week, Sawan sub-district office employees sort waste through the Kutus BSU
BULELENG, GARISBUMI.com – Employees at the Sawan Subdistrict Office, Buleleng Regency, Bali, are developing the habit of managing waste through weighing and sorting activities every Wednesday and Friday. The collected waste is then managed through the Kutus Waste Bank Unit (BSU) in the office environment.
This activity was carried out again at the Kutus BSU Secretariat, Sawan District Head Office, Wednesday (7/10/2026). All employees take turns bringing the collected waste to be weighed, then sorted according to type.
This twice-weekly routine is part of efforts to reduce and improve waste management in office environments. It is hoped that the involvement of all employees will make awareness of waste a habit in daily work.
Sawan I Subdistrict Head Ketut Cantyana appreciated the participation of his office staff in carrying out this activity regularly. According to him, employee involvement is an important part in building good waste management habits, starting from the work environment.
He also invited employees to set an example through clean living behavior and concern for waste. It is hoped that habits developed in the office will also be applied outside the work environment.
Through consistent activities, the Sawan Subdistrict Office hopes that the practice of waste sorting can become an example for the community while encouraging citizen involvement in maintaining a clean environment.
