Pariaman Waste Reaches 45-50 Tons a Day, City Government Adds Three Transport Trucks
PARIAMAN, GARISBUMI.com – The Pariaman City Government has added three operational cleaning vehicles to strengthen waste transportation which is said to reach 45-50 tons per day. The new fleet consists of two dump trucks and one arm roll truck carrying waste.
Pariaman Mayor Yota Balad handed over the vehicle in the yard of his official residence, Wednesday (23/9/2026). The addition of the fleet is expected to speed up cleaning services and increase the work efficiency of officers in the field.
"Good facilities must be directly proportional to improved services. This is part of the Pariaman City Government's commitment to dealing with waste in Pariaman City," said Yota.
According to him, waste generation in Pariaman ranges from 45 to 50 tons every day. The additional vehicles are expected to help officers handle the volume.
"Thank God, we have three additional operational cars. Hopefully, through this new fleet, it is hoped that cleaning will be handled more quickly and efficiently," he said.
After handing over, Yota together with the Head of the Pariaman City Public Housing, Settlement Areas and Environment (Perkim LH) Service, Muhammad Arif Gunawan, checked the condition of the vehicle.
Checks include the strength of the body body's hydraulic system as well as the proper functioning of the dump truck engine. Inspections are carried out to ensure the readiness of the vehicle before being used in waste transportation services.
Arif explained that the two dump trucks and one arm roll truck would strengthen the existing cleaning fleet.
"With the presence of this new fleet, we hope to further strengthen our transportation fleet in handling waste in Pariaman City," he said.
Previously, the Pariaman City Government had received seven new cleaning vehicles which were handed over on July 20 2026. With the addition of three vehicles in September, the number of new fleets handed over in these two stages reached 10 units.
