JAKARTA, GARISBUMI.com – The number of hot spots or Hotspots with a high level of confidence in Indonesia fell to 527 spots on Sunday (4/10/2026), a decrease of 139 spots compared to the day before. However, Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) has experienced an increase so that monitoring and field inspections continue to be strengthened.
The Ministry of Forestry in a written statement, Monday (5/10/2026), stated that land and air operations to control forest and land fires (karhutla) remain on alert even though the number of national Hotspots has decreased.
This data comes from monitoring the Early Detection Information System for Forest and Land Fire Control (SiPongi) until Sunday at 21.10 WIB, using the NASA Terra/Aqua, NASA SNPP and NASA NOAA-20 satellites. On Saturday (3/10/2026), the number of Hotspots with a high level of confidence was recorded at 666 points.
"A decrease in the number of Hotspots does not mean that vigilance can be reduced," said the Ministry of Forestry's appeal.
