Siska reminded that the success of the program does not only depend on infrastructure development. Community involvement in reducing and sorting waste from the source is also needed.
He hopes that central government support can accelerate service improvements while encouraging changes in waste management habits in Kendari.
"The government cannot work alone. We need the support of the community, business world and all stakeholders so that waste management can run sustainably," he said.
