CFD Deltamas Bekasi Presents Free Rabies Vaccination in a Vehicle-Free Space

BEKASI, GARISBUMI.com – The vehicle-free area in Deltamas, Bekasi Regency, is a place for residents to exercise and access animal health services. Free rabies vaccinations and pet examinations were presented at Car Free Day (CFD), Sunday (8/11/2026).

The activity, which took place along Jalan Ganesha Boulevard to AEON Mall Deltamas, Central Cikarang District, expanded the function of public space as a place of service and interaction for citizens. Apart from animal health services from the Bekasi Regency Agricultural Service, there are services from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), group exercise, as well as arts and cultural performances.

The Bekasi Regency Environmental Service (DLH) encourages the use of CFD to bring services closer to people who are active in the area.

Rabies vaccination and veterinary examination

Animal health services are one of the activities that get the attention of visitors. The public can take advantage of free rabies vaccinations and health checks for their beloved pets, such as dogs, cats and ferrets.

Head of the Bekasi Regency Agricultural Service's Animal Disease Control Team, Dewi Suryati, explained that rabies vaccination is an important step to prevent the spread of zoonoses, namely diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans.

"We urge people who own pets to routinely carry out rabies vaccinations and regular health checks. These services can also be accessed through the Bekasi Regency Government's Animal Health Center (Puskeswan) located in Cibarusah, Setu and Kedungwaringin," said Dewi, as quoted from the Bekasi Regency DLH statement.
