BONE, GARISBUMI.com – The Bone Regency Government is prioritizing improving waste management to achieve the top five targets in the 2026 Adipura assessment. Deputy Regent of Bone Andi Akmal Pasluddin asked all regional officials to be actively involved in maintaining environmental cleanliness and sustainability.
This was conveyed at the coordination meeting for preparations for the 2026 Adipura assessment at the Bone Regent's Office, Jalan Ahmad Yani, Watampone, Friday (9/10/2026).
Andi Akmal emphasized that achieving the targets set by the Regent of Bone, Andi Asman Sulaiman, was a shared responsibility. The involvement of each agency is needed so that the cleanliness program runs comprehensively.
According to him, environmental management cannot only be borne by the Environmental Service (DLH). All regional officials need to understand and carry out their roles consistently.
Improve the Waste Management System
In his direction, Andi Akmal emphasized the importance of a measurable, integrated and sustainable waste management system. Improvements need to be supported by cross-regional coordination and increased public awareness.
Citizen participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness is one thing that needs to be strengthened. It is hoped that these efforts will go hand in hand with regional government programs to improve the quality of waste management.
The coordination meeting also discussed the readiness of each regional apparatus to fulfill aspects of the Adipura assessment. Evaluations are carried out to clarify the roles and responsibilities of each agency in implementing the cleanliness program.
