Tangerang City DPUPR officers clean water channels in RT 04, RW 015, Larangan Selatan Subdistrict, Friday (16/10/2026)

TANGERANG, GARISBUMI.com – Residents of RT 04, RW 015, Larangan Selatan Subdistrict together with the Tangerang City Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (DPUPR) cleaned up sediment and rubbish in water channels, Friday (16/10/2026). This normalization is carried out to smooth water flow and anticipate puddles during the rainy season.

The activity in Larangan District targets materials that have the potential to clog channels. With this cleaning, it is hoped that the channel can function more optimally when the intensity of rain increases.

Larangan Subdistrict Head Nasrullah said that citizen involvement was an important part of maintaining water channels. According to him, efforts to anticipate inundation need to be accompanied by public concern for environmental cleanliness.

"Apart from supporting efforts to anticipate inundation, this activity also encourages community awareness of environmental conditions. Citizen involvement is an important part in maintaining the cleanliness of waterways in a sustainable manner," said Nasrullah.

He reminded the public not to throw rubbish into waterways. This habit can cause a buildup of waste that blocks the flow.

"A clean environment and well-maintained waterways require joint attention. Therefore, the public is advised not to throw rubbish carelessly, especially into waterways, so that there is no buildup of rubbish that can obstruct the flow," he said.

Nasrullah also invited residents in other areas to carry out similar activities. District and sub-district officials are asked to convey this invitation so that water channel maintenance can be carried out in their respective environments.
