2026 Nambo Beach Festival Opens Art and Creative Economy Space on the Kendari Coast

KENDARI, GARISBUMI.com – Nambo Beach in Kendari City has become a meeting place for coastal tourism, regional arts and the creativity of the younger generation through the 2026 Nambo Beach Festival. This activity on 7-8 November 2026 is aimed at introducing the potential of the destination as well as opening up opportunities for economic activity in the surrounding community.

Carrying the theme "One Beach a Million Works", the festival presents competitions in art, music and tourism promotional videos. The Kendari City Government hopes that the involvement of artists and the creative community can strengthen the attractiveness of the area through the richness of local culture.

Mayor of Kendari, Siska Karina Imran, opened the festival on Saturday (7/11/2026). According to him, this activity is an opportunity for the younger generation to develop their abilities and get to know the potential of the region.

Introducing the beach through art and culture

The series of festivals include the Creative Lulo Competition, Regional Creative Dance, Creative Fashion at elementary school level, inter-district Mosolori, Acoustic Music or Bands, as well as the Tourism Promotion Video Competition.

These various activities provide space for participants to be involved in introducing Nambo Beach. Apart from live performances, destination promotion is also carried out through video works.

Siska invited participants to use the festival as a place to learn and build relationships between communities.
