Head of Kembangan Selatan Subdistrict, Junaidi visited residents' homes to put up house stickers for sorting waste

JAKARTA, GARISBUMI.com – A total of 69 out of 98 households in RT 006/RW 08, Jalan Kembang Asri, Blok B, Kembangan Selatan, West Jakarta, are recorded as actively sorting waste. Residents separate organic, inorganic, hazardous and toxic (B3) waste, as well as residues so that they can be managed according to type.

Sorting from home is a step to protect waste that can still be used or recycled so that it is not mixed with other waste.

Head of South Kembangan Village, Junaidi, said that this number was obtained through data collection over four days, Monday to Thursday. Around 70 percent of households in data collection locations have carried out waste sorting.

"This achievement shows that there is community participation in supporting waste management starting from the household environment," said Junaidi, Thursday (22/10/2026), as quoted from the West Jakarta City Government website.

Households that are active in sorting also get a house sticker for sorting waste. Junaidi invited residents to maintain this habit and encouraged families who have not yet separated to start doing so.

In this activity, Yani (45), a resident of RW 08 Kembangan Selatan, was chosen as the Waste Sorting Ambassador. He is expected to be a driving force and set an example for other residents so that sorting is carried out consistently.

"This activity is also a momentum to strengthen community involvement in maintaining environmental cleanliness," said Junaidi.
