Karhutla Threatens Orangutans, Ministry of Forestry Holds Daily Patrols and Strengthens Call Center
PALANGKA RAYA, GARISBUMI.com – The Ministry of Forestry has increased the frequency of patrols to rescue orangutans and wild animals to every day to anticipate the impact of forest and land fires in Central Kalimantan (Kalteng).

The Ministry of Forestry is also strengthening the outreach of a 24-hour call center so that the public can immediately report the presence of wild animals affected by fire and forest and land fire smoke.

Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni said that this reporting route was available as part of the collaboration between the Ministry of Forestry, the Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Natural Resources Conservation Center and a number of conservation organizations.
