Kupang Starts Water Conservation with Biopori, Encourages Movement in 51 Subdistricts
Church Congregation Has Made 27 Biopori
Water conservation practices have also been initiated within religious institutions. Pastor Margaritha Heo Uly from GMIT Bethlehem Penkase Oeleta said that the church together with the congregation had made 27 biopores. The congregation consists of 60 heads of families.
This experience is an example of conservation efforts that grow from the community and can be developed through joint work.
The Kupang City Government will then monitor the implementation of water conservation at the sub-district and sub-district levels to ensure that the commitments made are followed by real action.
