Before South Meruya TPS-3R operates, residents are asked to sort their waste from home
"If students are involved and feel that their school is a home that must be kept clean, they will definitely be more willing to be invited and given appreciation," said Iin.
Iis (63), a resident of RT 10/RW 02 Meruya Selatan, admitted that he had been sorting rubbish at his house for a long time. He hopes that similar habits can be adopted by other residents.
"I have been sorting waste independently for a long time. Hopefully other residents can implement waste sorting from home," he said.
During the inspection, Iin was accompanied by Acting Assistant for West Jakarta Economy and Development Depika Romadi, Head of the Environmental Management Department Hermawan, Head of the Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Sub-department Dian Anggraini Susanthy, Head of Kembangan District Mochammad Fahmi Karsawijaya, Head of South Meruya Village Muhammad Maizar, and a number of community figures.
