In terms of energy supply, PLN's 2025–2034 Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) contains plans to increase energy generation and storage capacity by 69.5 GW.

The details include 42.6 GW from EBT, 10.3 GW in the form of energy storage systems, and 16.6 GW from fossil plants. The investment potential in this plan reaches IDR 2,967.4 trillion.

To adjust supply readiness to industry needs, the government will request location plan data from potential data center investors. This information becomes the basis for energy preparation in the investment destination area.

Bahlil also said that the government is preparing regulations so that investors collaborate with national and regional entrepreneurs.

"We have to share with local entrepreneurs. Don't do everything by themselves," he stressed.

Clean energy readiness and the involvement of local business actors are two concerns in data center development. The government hopes that digital investment will also open up business opportunities and provide economic benefits for local communities.
