Serut Residents Complain about SPPG 5 Waste Smell, Manager Asked to Repair IPAL
Hendra asked the management to follow up on the mediation with quick and measurable improvements.
"Improving the waste processing system so that it meets environmental quality standards is an obligation that must be fulfilled completely. It's a pity for the residents if this problem of odor and potential pollution continues to disrupt their daily lives," he said.
Government Promises Supervision
The meeting involved elements of the Panti District Muspika, Serut Village Government, SPPG 5 management and technical team, community leaders, as well as dozens of representatives of local residents.
Hendra stated that the sub-district government together with Muspika and related technical agencies would monitor the implementation of the agreement and improve waste processing.
"We want the business climate to continue to run well, but citizens' rights to a clean, healthy and comfortable living environment is a top priority that is non-negotiable," he said.
The follow-up to the agreement determines the resolution of residents' complaints. The agreed improvements to the IPAL and technical evaluation still need to be realized by the management under government supervision.
