BIMA, GARISBUMI.com โ Around 1,500 Run, Walk, Bike 2026 participants in Bima City received an invitation to maintain cleanliness by carrying their own rubbish until they found the disposal site provided. This message accompanies sports activities commemorating Holly Mart's 20th anniversary, Sunday (8/11/2026).
This activity includes three categories, namely 5 Kilometer Fun Run, Fun Walk and Fun Bike. In the midst of this joint activity, participants' responsibility for the waste produced became the attention of the Bima City Government.
Bima City Regional Secretary, Muhammad Fachrunraji, conveyed this invitation when representing the mayor sending off the participants. He asked residents to make cleanliness part of their active living habits.
"Maintaining cleanliness is our collective responsibility. Let's start from ourselves by not throwing rubbish carelessly. Save your own rubbish and throw it away in the place provided," said Fachrunraji, as quoted from the Bima City Diskominfotik statement.
Cleanliness is the participant's responsibility
The invitation to store rubbish until they find a place to dispose of it provides concrete direction for participants during the activity. Participants are asked to be responsible for their waste, while also protecting shared areas.
However, the available information does not explain the number and location of rubbish bins, sorting facilities, or waste handling after activities. Data on the volume of waste produced is also not yet available.
