SUSTAINABLE CAMPUS AWARD: Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA) Chancellor Prof Fatah Sulaiman (left) received the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings Indonesia 2026 award, Tuesday (15/9/2026). UNTIRTA won first place in the most sustainable PTN-BLU category and was in 13th place nationally.

Fatah hopes that these achievements can be maintained as well as become motivation for the entire academic community to strengthen the implementation of sustainable campus programs.

"Hopefully this can continue to be improved and maintained in the future," he added.

UNTIRTA Rises Two Ranks Nationally

Head of the Center for Smart, Integrated and Sustainable Green Campus Development LPMPP UNTIRTA, Suroso Mukti Leksono, appreciated the work of the UNTIRTA UI GreenMetric Team which helped encourage this ranking increase.

"Thanks to the great UIGM Team. We managed to climb to 13th place from 15th last year, while also winning the award as the Most Sustainable PTN-BLU University in 2026," said Suroso.

The increase from 15th place to 13th place shows UNTIRTA's positive trend in sustainable campus rankings. This achievement was strengthened by the success of occupying the highest position among all PTN-BLU in Indonesia.

UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is a ranking that measures commitment and implementation of sustainability in higher education environments.

The assessment is carried out through a number of indicators, including campus planning and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water use, transportation, and education and research.
