SUSTAINABLE CAMPUS AWARD: Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA) Chancellor Prof Fatah Sulaiman (left) received the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings Indonesia 2026 award, Tuesday (15/9/2026). UNTIRTA won first place in the most sustainable PTN-BLU category and was in 13th place nationally.

SERANG, GARISBUMI.com – Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA) has been named the most sustainable Public Service Agency State University or PTN-BLU in Indonesia in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026.

The state campus located in Banten is also ranked 13th nationally. This position has risen two levels compared to the achievement in 2025, when UNTIRTA was ranked 15th nationally.

This achievement is recognition of UNTIRTA's commitment to building sustainability-oriented campus governance. A number of environmental programs and policies continue to be developed through the Healthy, Integrated, Smart and Green campus vision.

UNTIRTA Chancellor Fatah Sulaiman said the principle of sustainability had been implemented through various university priority programs.

"Thank God, UNTIRTA's vision of being a Healthy, Integrated, Smart and Green campus is implemented through priority programs to support campus sustainability," said Fatah.

According to him, the success of being ranked 13th nationally and first in the PTN-BLU group is an appreciation of the sustainability steps that UNTIRTA has implemented.

"This year we received appreciation by being ranked 13th nationally. Especially for PTN-BLU, we are considered the best and most sustainable campus," he said.
