Central Lombok Regency DLH officers transport rubbish into trucks after Car Free Day (CFD) activities

CENTRAL LOMBOK, GARISBUMI.com – The rubbish that was scattered after the Car Free Day (CFD) activities in Central Lombok Regency was again handled by Environmental Service (DLH) officers. Visitors and traders are invited to reduce the use of single-use plastic and ensure that activity areas remain clean after use.

Based on information from DLH Central Lombok published on Tuesday (27/10/2026), officers cleaned up rubbish along the CFD area after the activity ended. Handling is carried out so that waste does not accumulate and public spaces can be used comfortably again.

The CFD, which regularly takes place every Sunday, is a place for residents to exercise, take a leisurely walk and gather with their families. This activity also opens up business space for small traders, as well as creating a need for handling waste during and after the activity.

Reduce Waste Since Activities Take Place

DLH Central Lombok encourages visitors to bring reusable drinking containers, reduce single-use plastic, and sort and dispose of waste appropriately.

Visitors are also expected not to leave food wrappers, plastic cups, drink bottles or plastic bags along the CFD route.

Meanwhile, traders are encouraged to provide rubbish storage areas in their selling areas and clean the location after business activities are completed. This step is expected to reduce scattered rubbish while easing the work of officers.
