JAKARTA, GARISBUMI.com – Used cooking oil is collected by residents in six RWs of Jelambar Subdistrict, West Jakarta, to be managed through the used cooking oil alms movement. A total of 10 barrels of the collection were handed over by PKK cadres to Rumah Politik, Tuesday (20/10/2026).

Head of the Jelambar Village People's Welfare Section, Nurul Indri Hapsari, said that this activity was a means of education regarding the dangers of environmental pollution due to careless disposal of used oil.

Through separate collection, used cooking oil from households is directed to management institutions so that it can be handled safely and responsibly.

Collected from six RWs

One barrel of used cooking oil came from RW 01, three barrels each from RW 02 and RW 03, and one barrel each from RW 07, RW 08 and RW 11.

"The process of collecting used cooking oil from each RW is carried out by Jelambar Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers," said Nurul in a statement from Jelambar Village.

Furthermore, the collected oil was handed over to Rumah Politik, the management agency and pioneer of the used cooking oil alms movement.

According to Nurul, this activity connects household waste management with economic benefits and social care.
