South Tanjung Duren Residents Collect 376.5 Kg of Segregated Waste Through Waste Bank
JAKARTA, GARISBUMI.com – The Kelopak Berseri Waste Bank collected 376.5 kilograms of segregated waste during a weighing activity at the Tanjung Duren Selatan Subdistrict Office, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, Tuesday (29/9/2026).
Tanjung Duren Selatan Village Head Indri Prawiji said this activity encouraged residents to sort their waste from home. The waste that has been sorted is then managed through a waste bank so that it has use and economic value.
"Through this activity, we continue to encourage people to sort waste from the source and manage it so that it has use and economic value," said Indri in the statement received.
According to Indri, weighing at the Kelopak Berseri Waste Bank is one way to involve residents in waste management in their neighborhood.
"We ensure that the waste management process runs in an orderly manner and in accordance with the objectives of the Kelopak Berseri Waste Bank program," he said.
Indri hopes that more residents will sort their waste before throwing it away. This habit, according to him, can help reduce waste thrown into the environment while increasing the use of waste that is still valuable.
The sub-district's statement does not yet detail the type of waste collected, the number of residents who participated, or the distribution of 376.5 kilograms of waste after weighing.
