Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin leads the Indonesian ASRI National Movement Alert Call at Electric Park, Tangerang City Government Center, Wednesday (7/10/2026)

TANGERANG, LINE EARTH, GARISBUMI.com – The Tangerang City Government deployed around 600 officers to clean public spaces, roads and water channels, Wednesday (7/10/2026). This action was accompanied by an invitation to residents to sort rubbish from their homes so that environmental cleanliness was maintained after the officers left the location.

Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin conveyed this message when leading the Indonesian ASRI National Movement Alert Call at the Electric Park, Tangerang City Government Center. After the roll call, personnel from a number of regional agencies moved to various areas.

"How can we make this city feel clean and comfortable. Today, the Tangerang City Government deployed hundreds of officers in a number of areas of Tangerang City. But the best results will only be achieved if the government and society move together," said Sachrudin.

According to him, it is difficult to maintain city cleanliness if you only rely on officers. Citizen involvement is needed through simple habits, starting from sorting waste at home, managing it according to type, to not throwing rubbish carelessly.

Sorting also opens up opportunities to utilize waste that still has economic value while reducing environmental problems.

Sachrudin asks that illegal polling stations be dealt with

On that occasion, Sachrudin asked for strict handling of illegal waste dumping sites (TPS). He reminded that no location should be allowed to become a place for littering.

"There can be no illegal TPS in this city. Don't let any place become a location for littering. If necessary, reward and punish, take firm action! Let's start sorting waste from home, because waste can have economic value. The environment is clean, life is healthier and more comfortable," he stressed.

Sachrudin added that enforcement of regulations must apply to all parties who pollute the environment, including officers who commit violations.

"Every party who pollutes the environment, including officers who commit violations, must receive the same treatment and enforce the rules," he said.

Encourage the habit of protecting the environment

Head of the Tangerang City Environmental Service (DLH), Yudi Pradana, said that the cleaning action targeted public open spaces, roads and channels related to community activities.

He hopes that this activity will encourage residents to take part in cleaning and caring for their environment. Community involvement is needed so that locations that have been cleaned are not filled with rubbish again.

"Don't let it be that after cleaning it, it will be dirty again tomorrow. Not only cleaning it, but we also have to work together to look after it," said Yudi.

Apart from DLH, this joint action involves the Public Works Service, Housing and Settlement Service, Satpol PP, BPBD, and the Transportation Service.
